Dear Friends,
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the America’s Competitive Edge Initiative (ACE).
Immigration has long been a source of American strength, but its success depends on the integrity of the system that governs it. For too long, that system has been shaped more by politics than by purpose, leaving us with a debate defined by extremes rather than guided by outcomes. What has been missing is a sustained focus on what should unite us: building a lawful, functional system that serves the interests of Americans first, while remaining open to those prepared to contribute to our country.
On the fundamentals, Americans are far less divided than our politics suggest. They want an immigration system that is predictable, enforceable, and aligned with our economic needs. They expect the law to be applied consistently, and they understand that immigration policy should reinforce rather than displace opportunity for American workers. These are not competing objectives; they are the necessary conditions of a system that works for us.
ACE was established to advance that vision. We believe that rigorous enforcement of the law, paired with a modernized immigration system, is essential to preserving America’s competitive advantage abroad and securing durable economic prosperity for all at home.
Our work is grounded in four core principles:
- Strengthening America's economic competitiveness by aligning growth, productivity, and innovation with the well-being and advancement of American workers.
- Protecting U.S. sovereignty and competitiveness through vigorous and credible enforcement that prioritizes legal order and earns public trust.
- Elevating legal immigration as a competitive advantage by rewarding rule-following, contribution, and a commitment to American values.
- Building national cohesion and competitiveness through assimilation, English proficiency, and shared civic responsibility.
These principles are not novel, but they have too often been eclipsed by political incentives that favor positioning over problem-solving. ACE exists to change that. Credible policy leadership requires independence from the failures of recent years, and from those now attempting to recast themselves after helping to produce them. We will work with leaders prepared to move beyond rhetoric, develop policy grounded in reality, and build coalitions capable of turning sound ideas into durable law.
This is a moment of real opportunity. The need for reform is clear, and the demand for credible leadership is growing. The question is not whether reform will come, but whether it will be built to last.
That is the work we are committed to and we look forward to doing it with you.
